Spotlight On: Hayley Hare

Hayley Hare is a multifaceted artist from the North East (UK), currently living and working in London.

Hare’s practice is highly personal and explores themes surrounding her views and concerns with life, identity, self-expression and emotion. Her on-going body of work entitled ‘Black Dog’ explores mental health (predominantly depression); personally, socially and historically.

Using printmaking techniques with photography, film and sound, she is open to whatever medium suits the work being produced.

Through the use of multiple mediums, Hare creates 2d work, installations and live performances which convey a complex emotional state. Creating drama and intrigue in her work, Hare draws the viewer in to a disparate narrative that they must work to piece together.

Hare has exhibited nationally and currently sits on the Executive committee for Artists Union England.

You can explore her work at St Margaret’s Church of Art, St Benedicts St, Norwich
